• Payment & order data: payment transaction IDs, billing details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).
• Event details: registration type, selected competitions, dietary preferences, accommodation requests.
• Technical & usage: IP address, device type, browser, cookies and similar trackers, event attendance logs.

• Provide the registration service and process payments.
• Communicate event updates, confirmations, receipts, and pre-event instructions.
• Manage attendance, issue badges/tickets, and verify identity at entry.

We process your information to perform the contract (your registration) and for our legitimate interests (event operation, fraud prevention). We retain registration records and transactional data for a minimum of 10 years to meet accounting and safety requirements (adjust per local law / organizer policy). (University event notices commonly state the controller responsibility and retention expectations.) 

5. Payment processing & third parties
All online payments are handled by our third-party payment provider(s) (e.g., Razorpay/Stripe/PayPal). We do not store card numbers on our servers. You should review the payment provider’s privacy and security terms. We may share necessary data with: payment processors, venue/onsite security, analytics providers, and service providers who help run the event.
