Description: The Swimming Event, organised as part of Kurukshetra 2026, will feature 50-metre individual races across the four strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. It will also include team events such as the 4x50m freestyle and medley relays, with both individual and team events conducted separately for male and female categories. All races will be held in accordance with official swimming regulations, and certified referees and event officials will oversee the competition to ensure fairness, safety, and compliance with established rules.

Key Rules
Swimmers participating in butterfly and breaststroke events have to touch the wall with two hands while finishing, and one hand touch for freestyle and backstroke events.
- Relays will have 4 swimmers per team.
- The next swimmer can only dive in given the previous swimmer has touched the wall thereby completing his/her stipulated 50m length of the relay.
- Order of the Medley Relay: Backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle.
Conduct & Discipline
All participants must report at least 15 minutes before the scheduled timings on the day of the event.
Every swimmer has to wear appropriate swimwear.
Warning, Penalty & Disqualification Criteria:
Early starts and stopping midway in races will lead to disqualification from that particular event.
Swimmers must know the basics of the stroke they are competing in or they may risk getting disqualified.

Gear Restrictions:
- Participants with long hair have to compulsorily wear a swimming cap.
- No wearable technology or devices allowed during the competition.
Refereeing & Decision Protocol
- Match Officials Present: Referees
- Dispute Procedure: All decisions by the referees, officials and FLAME Kurukshetra Organising Committee are final.
Medical & Safety Guidelines
- Certified lifeguards will be present throughout the event.
- Floaters will be available poolside for emergency use.
- A fully equipped medical kit will be stationed at the venue.
- An ambulance will be stationed at the venue to respond to any unforeseen medical emergencies.
