DESCRIPTION: FLAME Kurukshetra Badminton Tournament is a competitive event featuring men’s, women’s, and mixed categories. It aims to bring together players from various institutions in a spirited contest of skill, stamina, and strategy.
DURATION: 4 days
- Tournament Format:
- The tournament will be played in a knockout format.
- Match Duration : 10am to 6pm
- The maximum squad size is 2 while 1 being the minimum.
- There is no restriction on the number of entries per institution.
- Registration Details
     2.1 All registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

- Eligibility Criteria:
- It is an open, individual event – age restricted to under 27 as of 31st January 2026.
- It is mandatory for each player to carry their student ID or Aadhar card for verification.
- Match Rules
- Governing Rulebook Followed: Badminton World Federation (BWF) rules.
- Key Rules:
- Best of 3 games of 15 points up to Quarterfinals
- Best of 3 games of 21 points from Semi-finals onward
- Deuce system till 30 points cap (first to 30 wins at 29–29)
6.   Conduct & Discipline
- Players must report 15 minutes before the scheduled time. A walkover will be given after 15 minutes after the announcement of the match.
- Players must wear appropriate sports attire; non-marking shoes are mandatory.
7.   Equipment & Facilities
- Provided by FLAME Kurukshetra Organising Committee: Shuttlecocks (Mavis 350), speaker, table, chairs, scoresheets and boards, barricades
- To Be Brought by Participants: Rackets, personal gear, proper attire, non-marking shoes.
- Gear Restrictions: Non-marking shoes mandatory.
- Refereeing and Decisions Protocol
- Match Officials Present: Certified referees/umpires
- Dispute Procedure: To be raised immediately with officials on court
- Finality Clause: All decisions by the officials and FLAME Kurukshetra organising committee are final.
