Eligibility – The competition is open to anyone from all age groups.
Participation – Participants must submit only 3 photos. 1 photo in each category.
Submission Deadline – All submissions must be received by 19th January 2026, 12:00 PM, after which no entries will be accepted
Submission Format
i. Participants must submit their photos through a Google Form available after the ticket payment.
ii. Only digital images are accepted in JPEG or PNG format
iii. Minimum resolution: 300 dpi; Maximum file size: 10 MB per image.
iv. Each photo should be accompanied by a title and a description (50-100 words) that explains its cultural significance and interpretation.
Categories
Monochrome Magic – Capture the emotion, contrast and depth of your subject using a single color palette, where simplicity becomes storytelling.
Motion and Mirage – Showcase the beauty of movement and illusion through creative techniques, turning motion, blur, or surreal edits into captivating visual art.
1 Story. 1 Frame. – Capture a single moment that speaks volumes – one photograph that tells a complete story through emotion, expression, and perspective.
Image Requirements and Authenticity
Original Work – All submissions must be original and taken by the participant. Plagiarized, previously published, or stolen work will result in disqualification.
Editing – Basic editing such as brightness, contrast, cropping, and sharpening is allowed. Over-manipulated images or excessive retouching will lead to disqualification.
Watermarks – No watermarks, logos, or text should be added to the images
Metadata – EXIF Data (camera settings, date, time and location) must be intact for verification of authenticity.4.

Judging Criteria
Adherence to Category (30%)
i. How well the photograph aligns with its chosen category and effectively captures the essence through thoughtful interpretation and execution.
Creativity and Originality (25%):
i. The uniqueness of the concept, framing and perspective
Technical Excellence (20%):
i. Image clarity, composition, use of light, color and contrast
Emotional Impact (15%):
i. The depth and relevance of the cultural elements depicted in the photo
Storytelling (10%):
i. How effectively the description and image convey a meaningful cultural narrative.
5. Submission Process
Google Form:
i. All entries must be submitted via the official Google Form (Our Team will contact you and send mail for google form). Ensure that the participant’s name, institution, contact details, and photo descriptions are correctly filled in.
File Naming Convention:
i. All files should be named in the following format: FirstName_LastName_CategoryTitle.jpg (e.g.AnmolPatil_Monochrome.jpg)

1st Place
i. Cash prize of Rs.2500/- + Certificate of Excellence + Feature on the Kurukshetra 2026 social media platforms.
2nd Place
i. Cash prize of Rs.1500/- + Certificate of Excellence
3rd Place
i. Cash prize of Rs.700/- + Certificate of Excellence
7. Rights and Usage
Copyright:
i. The photographer retains full copyright over their images.
Usage Rights:
i. By submitting, participants grant the organizing committee non-exclusive rights to use the photographs for promotional purposes related to the event (with due credit to the photographer).
Exhibition:
i. Winning and selected photographs may be showcased in an online exhibition for Kurukshetra 2026.
8. Disqualification:
Non-Compliance
i. Any submissions not adhering to the rules, such as late entries, plagiarism, or manipulations beyond allowed limits, will result in disqualification.
Inappropriate Content:
i. Images that depict offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content will be disqualified immediately.
