The FLAME Table Tennis Club is glad to announce the FLAME KURUKSHETRA 2025-26 TABLE TENNIS OPEN TOURNAMENT, which will be held from 22-26 January , 2026. This event will be conducted for men and women separately.
Team Eligibility:
- Men’s Team Event: The team must consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players.
- Women’s Team Event: The team must consist of a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 5 players.
- Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles Event: All matches will adhere to basic rules and regulations set by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
- Each team member must fall within the age range of 17 to 27 years.

Tournament Format: Â
- The tournament will follow a league cum knockout format.
- The 3rd player in the team has to play a doubles match in the men’s team event format.
- The third match will be a doubles match, and it should include the player who hasn’t played any of the preceding singles matches.
- Each team match will consist of a series of singles, singles, doubles, and reverse singles matches.
- Matches will be best of 5 sets, subject to change based on the number of registrations.
Equipment:
- Players are required to bring their own rackets.
- Tournament-provided balls will be used exclusively for matches. Players are responsible for bringing their own practice balls.
- Non Marking shoes are compulsory.
- Sports attire is mandatory.
Rules of Play:
- All matches will adhere to the rules and regulations set by the International Table Tennis Federation and Table Tennis Federation of India, unless otherwise specified.
- Participants are required to exhibit sportsmanship throughout the duration of the event.
Event Modifications:
All events are subject to change based on the number of registrations received. Any adjustments to the schedule or format will be communicated in advance through official notifications.
Dispute Resolution:
In the case of any dispute, the decision of the organizers will be final and binding.
Entry Fees:
Entry fees are non-refundable.
By participating in the Open Category Table Tennis Team Event, all players and teams acknowledge and agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Any violations may result in disqualification from the tournament. The organizers reserve the right to amend these rules if necessary and will communicate any changes in a timely manner.
General Rules:
- For team events – All participants must be from the same institution/college/organization/academy.
- If you are representing your college, you will need a Bonafide Certificate and if you are from an academy, we will require your latest pay slip of the academy (online payment screenshot)
- Original Valid ID proof (aadhar, license, pan, passport, birth certificate etc..) must be brought. Copies/ Online are not accepted.
- Original College ID card is mandatory.
- The Club reserves the right to deny participation if the aforementioned rules are not followed.
- Each team should report 30 mins prior to their match.
- Any team showing up 10 mins late after the start time, the opponent team will be given a walkover.
- No dissent by word or action will be tolerated against anyone.
- Participants and the audience are expected to maintain decorum whilst the events are being held. Any kind of obscenity, vulgarity or misbehavior will not be tolerated and will lead to consequences at the discretion of the referees and/or Organisers. Decisions made by the referees and/or the organizers will be formal and binding.
