This is a traditional Yoga event. It comes under individual sports. The tournament is open to both male and female participants.

1. Tournament Format

  • Format: Elimination process
  • Match Duration: Round 1 & 2 – 7 minutes per participant; Round 3 – 10 minutes per participant
  • Team/Entry Size: Individual participation
  • Max Entries Per Institution: 8

 

2. Registration Details

  • Registration Fee (Per Individual): Rs 250 (Inclusive of GST)
  • Last Date for Registration: Not specified
  • Note: All registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

3. Prize Structure

  • 1st Place: 1000 + Medal
  • 2nd Place: 750 + Medal
  • 3rd Place: Medal

4. Eligibility Criteria

  • Open To: Open to All
  • ID Card Requirement: College ID / Government ID
  • Age Criteria: 17 – 35

5. Match Rules

  • Key Rules:
    • 2 participants will be on stage during their performance. Each participant will be assigned one judge on stage.
    • No participant can stay on stage for more than 5 minutes in Round 1 and 2, and 7 minutes for Round 3.
    • There are 3 rounds in total. All rounds consist of specific asanas to be performed by each participant. There is no internal choice; all listed asanas must be performed.
    • The competition will follow an elimination process. The top 10 participants will qualify for the second round and the top 5 for the third.

a) Round 1, 2, 3 

Judgment Criteria:

  • Every asana must be held in its final form for 15 seconds.
  • The efficiency of the yogasana will be judged on:
    • Way of performance to achieve the final position (1 mark)
    • Correct position of yogasana (3 marks)
    • The final position maintained for 15 seconds (3 marks)
    • Balance, degree of flexibility, and calmness during retention (2 marks)
    • Way of performance to come back from the final position (1 mark)

General Instructions:

  1. For any half or advanced posture, 2 marks will be deducted from “Correct position of the yogasana.”
  2. If a competitor falls while assuming the final position:
  • Second chance given without deduction.
  • Third attempt with deduction of 2 marks.
  • No further attempt after that.
  1. If a competitor falls after assuming final posture: No further attempt, and 1 mark will be deducted.
  2. Participants are requested to wear modest and appropriate clothing for the Yoga competition.

6. Conduct & Discipline

  • Permitted/Prohibited Behaviour: As per FLAME Kurukshetra code of conduct.
  • Warning, Penalty & Disqualification Criteria: As decided by judges and the club.

7. Equipment & Facilities

  • Provided by FLAME Kurukshetra Organising Committee: Stage setup and judging arrangements
  • To Be Brought by Participants: Personal yoga mats.

8. Refereeing & Decision Protocol

  • Match Officials Present: 2 Judges
  • Dispute Procedure: All disputes will be resolved by the judging panel
  • Finality Clause: All decisions by the officials and FLAME Kurukshetra organising committee are final.

9. Medical & Safety Guidelines

  • On-Site Medical Support: Ambulance / Physio available
